Five things you'll only understand if you have a sister

If you have a brother, I genuinely envy you. I would trade my sister for a boy any day. Here's why:
1. Sisters have double standards - they steal any item of your clothing and expect to get away with it, but then when you wear something of theirs.... all hell breaks loose! They'll scream: "You can't wear my belt, you'll stretch it! Or, "You can't wear my ripped jeans, you'll rip them!'. HUH???
They also take anything that was meant to be shared, and by the time you realise all they do is deny, deny, deny. Their go-to word is "No, it's mine".
This can also happen if you lend them something you then forget about, and once you see them with it you say "Hey, that's mine! I lent it to you and you didn't give it back!"
but they just deny, deny, deny.
2. It's not only clothes though, they take basically anything of yours without asking. For example, taking your makeup while you're on a school trip... I've never experienced true anger until I arrived home and half of my room was missing!
3. They will ask you which dress (for example) they should buy - every time, like a hundred times - they buy the one you didn't pick!
4. They'll be your best friend one minute, but as soon as they're with their friends, they drop you like you're a hot potato.
5. They won't let you get anything done without annoying you first, it's like a ritual. A ritual that should be FORGOTTEN!
“the greatest moments in life are not concerned with selfish achievements but rather with the things we do for the people we love and esteem”
Walt Disney
Family can be amazing, but they can also be incredibly annoying. Unlike friends, you don’t get to choose ‘em. You only live once, so treasuring the moment and spending time with family is vital. It's especially important to spend lots of time with your grandparents because they're not always gonna be there.
TIPS FOR YOUNGER SIBLINGS:
to what they say and take their advice.
don't tease them and stop if they say stop.
respect them and their personal space.
TIPS FOR OLDER SIBLINGS:
Be the bigger person and don't let the little things get in the way of your relationship. I know that it's way easier said than done!
Your younger sibling may feel like they're in control, but remember back when you were their age. Try to imagine how you would've felt and give advice, but remember that they may not always want it.
Be understanding. They're going to want to do all the things you do because they look up to you. Try to view the situation from their perspective and don't be too annoyed when they try to hang out with your friends.
