How to survive plane journeys (and even have a good time):

Actualizado: 26 sept 2021

Going on holiday is exciting and fun, but the hours on the plane are tiring and long. So here are our tips to survive plane journeys and have a good time.

1. Be prepared. Have an audio/e-book downloaded or even a movie if the plane doesn't already have TVs. Don't forget your earphones and your charger! ALWAYS, ALWAYS ALWAYS wear comfy clothes (learnt from past experiences ), and let your skin breathe by not wearing makeup.

2. Get cosy. You might as well take advantage of all this sitting down with nothing to do with a bit of self-care. Cuddle up with a blanket and put on a face mask! You need to keep your skin hydrated. Be ✨EXTRA✨

3. Guzzle lots of water. On the topic of hydration, to have an enjoyable experience you need to drink a lot of water! I know, you may end up annoying the cabin crew by asking for a drink every thirty minutes, but with all that recycled air it's really important. (Bonus tip: try to drink loads while the seat belt sign is off so you can use the bathroom.)

4. Take your shoes off. When you're in the same position for a long time it can be really bad for your circulation. If you take off your shoes it helps with that, and it's super comfy.

5. Take vitamin C. The worst thing is when you arrive at your destination, ready to have loads of fun, and then you get a bug. Airports and aeroplanes, let alone the new country, have loads of new germs that your body isn't used to. Try to eat lots of fruits of vegetables and take vitamin C lozenges to help build up your immune system. An apple a day keeps the doctor away!

6. Learn about the place you're going to! Have some guidebooks on hand, or download articles onto your phone. If you want to learn a bit of the native tongue, you can download loads of language-learning apps, such as Memrise or our favourite Duolingo.
